The Llama-No-Drama is an excellent crochet artistry amigurumi example from Yarnspirations. Designed by Nancy Anderson for Red Heart. This stitch along is complete and the entire pattern is in video tutorial and written pattern format.
This a HUGE pattern and the best way to attack a great pattern, such as this, is to go step by step in increments. There are learning opportunities with this one that includes the Fur Stitch repeat pattern.

Pattern Shown on Video
The pattern on the video is an old copy. The pattern was updated to a new format which is the one-button above. If you want to follow the video exactly as shown, download this version. This is the Original Crochet Llama Version. It is exactly the same pattern just with different round numbers.
Upon review, this adorable and sure to get your friends and family members looking at you as an artist will surprise you on how big this is. It's 14.5" tall x 11" long. It's not a stuffie to get stuff between the cracks of the could.
To prepare for this stitch along:
- 3 Balls Red Heart With Love Aran. You technically only need a bit of Tigerlily, Blue Hawaii, Hot Pink, Daffodil and just a strand of black.
- 1 Pair, 15 mm pure black safety eyes.
- Stitch Markers.
- Stuffing. It's pretty big, start with 1 small bag of stuffing and buy more at a later date if you need it. You will want to stuff this firmly.
- A mini box to store your supplies as you crochet this as you will have animal parts being created to assemble later on.
- You may want to buy an umbrella as your friends may shower you with compliments.

Knit Version
There is a knit version of the Llama-No-Drama. I'm not skilled enough in knitting to teach this as a Stitch Along or even regular tutorial.

Mikey: FYI only. I realize there are two versions of the Llama pattern. August and December. To avoid incredible confusion, the version to be used should be the one that matches the tutorial. Otherwise it won’t make sense. I figured it out by myself as I ALWAYS keep written pattern next to me with your tutorial. The tutorial is the Bible or it wouldn’t make sense. Everything was perfect until you got to the end of the tail.... stopping at rounds 18-23. You didn’t mention the final rounds of 24-26. Just moved on to ears. Probably an oversight or psychological to avoid another fur stitch. ?
As an aside, Yarnspirations (I assume) really screwed up the new instructions. Hard to follow and unclear. Red Heart’s was so clear.
Thanks.

The tutorial was made and the instructions were updated with new round numbers. I think I did connect the original instructions to this article but I will check again. There are always updates to patterns after I film. So to pull down things based on an update, a lot of video content would be removed. I get what you are saying though. May be best to pull it down and let crocheters figure out the pattern on their own instead of confusing them. Let me think on it. I spent a week filming this series up.

I did link to the original I followed. https://thecrochetcrowd.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/04/RHC0334-024120M.pdf

Another FYI. The patterns are NOT exactly the same, with just different row numbers. In the newer version there are only 3 rows of neck "fur" rather than 4, and in your version, the legs are done in a spiral, rather than joined rounds. The newer pattern has them as joined rounds. I am over half done and I used the newer pattern so will finish with it, but I like the older one better!
Mikey says
They changed the pattern after filming was done to match a new standard of crochet as it was an older pattern. I agree, I prefer the continuous rounds as well. Good eye.

Morning, Following Up. I addressed this with the audience yesterday on the social platform on what to do. With pattern revisions that happen frequently. I'm not on a list to get those updates as they quietly happen behind the scenes. Your issue is valid and taking down videos where there are revisions would remove a significant number of our videos for refilming or just trash the work altogether.
So I am going to put a date of the PDF in the morning information of the video starting yesterday. I am not going to go back through 2,000 tutorials to list the PDF dates. That would like weeks to source the PDFs originally used and cross-check. As mentioned, I put in the Llama Original Pattern in this article a few months ago. It's there to see the copy I actually worked through.
