The Crochet Leaning Moss Stitch is a scarf worked up on an angle from the beginning to the end. It's a two-row repeating pattern, and the scarf is a generous size that fits comfortably. It can be easily made into any size, as the length is subjective to whomever you get it. You can also change the width easily.
This stitch is a leaning moss stitch consisting of two rows once the pattern repeat is established.
- Size: 86” long x 6” wide

Strong Recommendation - Prevent Getting Lost
Until you are comfortable with the repeating, I suggest putting one stitch marker on each edge. Have both stitch markers being a different colour than each other.
I placed blue stitch marker on the start of rows when the first stitch is single crochet 2 together. I placed white on the opposite side when the row is just straight across.
Ch 29.
White Stitch Marker 1st row: (RS). 1 sc in 2nd ch from hook. *Ch 1, sk next ch, 1 sc in next. Rep from * across. 1 sc in last ch. Turn.

White Stitch Marker 3rd row: Ch 1. 1 sc in first st, 1 sc in next ch-1 sp. *Ch 1, sk next sc, 1 sc in next ch-1 sp. Rep from * across. 1 sc in last st. Turn.

Any chance you could show a picture of the leaning moss stitch scarf opened? I am 12 rows in and only the blue mark side is leaning and the white marker side is straight. It appears to be decreasing in width. I'm sure I'm doing something wrong. On your diagram it appears both sides lean. Thank you!

One row will cause the leaning, the other row is just straight up. It will only lean in one direction. I'm unsure why you are decreasing on both sides.
