A one-row repeating pattern with fast results for a Tunisian Accessory scarf. This uses leftover yarn from Bernat Tweedie and Bernat Forever Fleece yarns. This is the Tunisian Pencil Scarf pattern.

- A - Blue Grotto - 60% of the Ball
Bernat Forever Fleece Tweeds, 250 g/8.8 oz, 145 meters/158 yards
- B - Balsam (just enough to weave through the middle keyholes.
Afghan Hook: 6 mm / US J/10
Size: 2.5” wide by 92” long.

- FwP = Forward pass
- Loh = Loop(s) on hook
- Lp(s) = Loop(s)
- Rep = Repeat
- RetP = Return pass: Yo, draw it through the first loop on the hook, * Yo, draw through next 2 lps, rep from * across until 1 lp remains. The lp that remains on the hook always counts as the first st of the next row.
- Sk = Skip
- Sp(s) = Space(s)
- St(s) = Stitch(es)
- Tss = Insert hook under next vertical bar, yarn over and pull up a loop.
- Yo = Yarn over
Bind off: Insert hook into the vertical bar of the next stitch. Yarn over and pull through the two loops on the hook. Repeat until the end of the row.
Instructions
With A, ch 6.
1st row: (FwP): Keeping all lps on the hook, working in back bump sk first bump from the hook (the lp on the hook is the first ch) and draw up a lp. Work on next back bump and draw up a loop. Yo, sk next ch. Work on last 3 back bumps and draw up a loop in each. 7 hoh.
(RetP): Yo, draw it through the first loop on the hook, * Yo, draw through next 2 lps, rep from * across until 1 lp remains. The lp that remains on the hook always counts as the first st of the next row.
2nd row: (FwP): Tss next 2 vertical bars. Yo, sk next vertical bar. Tss last 3 sts.
(RetP): Yo, draw it through the first loop on the hook, * Yo, draw through next 2 lps, rep from * across until 1 lp remains. The lp that remains on the hook always counts as the first st of the next row.
Rep 2nd row until desired length. Bind off to finish.
Weaved Yarn
With B, create two strands that are 110” long.
Using both at the same time, weave through the keyholes made by the open spaces in the centre of the scarf. Tie off at both ends leaving about 4” long tail.
