Bernat Bricks Blanket
This easy Bernat Bricks Blanket is super quick using Bernat Blanket Yarn. This yarn is ultra-thick and intended for making chunky and lightweight home decor blankets.
Bernat Blanket comes in two formats. As in the pattern, it is the standard Bernat Blanket Yarn. There is also Bernat Baby Blanket yarn. What is the difference?
The difference between the two is the colour palette. You can mix and match both brands together as the yarn weight and yardage are the same. The difference is that the baby version has colours suitable for the baby that are either fun and bright or light and pastel colours. There are several colours to choose from.
In the original format, as in the pattern provided, the colours are darker and have a wide range of colours that punch or colours that are more subtle and neutral. We each have our own preferences and the number of colours that are available lends itself to meet the needs of many for their own personal colour choices.

I bought the yarn and needle required. As I started to read the directions, Row 4 confused me, working the long post dc from left to right was impossible. I was so frustrated, put away the yarn and needle for about a month. Lo and behold I found your video and you made it look so easy. I can hardly wait to start it again. Thanks!

I have yet to try an actual pattern and have only made two scarves (the first one just very basic trying to get the feel of crocheting and the 2nd one, I attempted a pattern, got frustrated and made up my own). Is this easy enough to try as a first pattern? I don't want to go spend the money on the yard/hook and then fail. (not that I can't return the unopened ones)

Try with a reduced hook and scrap yarn just a mini sample. That way you will know for sure.

And this suggestion is why you make the big bucks! haha I don't know why I didn't think of that. Thanks!

I used this pattern for the first lap blanket I made. Easy peasy!

I am looking for a pattern I saw a while ago but cannot find it again. It is an afghan that looks like Leo blocks. Do you know where I could find it?
Linda says
I meant to spell Lego blocks. It is a very cute pattern.
