A two-evening project is the Elizabeth Stitch Palliative Care Blanket by Mikey. Once the pattern setup is complete, just one row repeats repeatedly. Each colour, once established, is six rows each.
There is a crochet diagram, written instructions and a free tutorial to show you how to do this stitch.
Materials
Size: 34” wide by 44” long. I intended to use the stripes vertically down.
This is a great stash-busting project to finish up any balls you may have. I used leftovers from one of the stitch-alongs from years ago.

The Elizabeth Stitch requires you to skip a stitch in the row below. Once the row below is an Elizabeth Stitch, you insert your hook into the eye of the stitch. If you cannot see it, see the tutorial for the location.
Stitch multiples are 2 chains + 4.

Do not break yarn after the last row of the final rep sequence when ready to finish the blanket.
Last row: Ch 1, 1 sc in each Elizabeth stitch and ch-1 sp across. Fasten off.
I don't believe this blanket needs a border. If you want to add a border, that's up to you.
