Crochet Scarf
Learn how to crochet this really neat scarf. The stitchwork was easier than I anticipated myself and once I caught the rhythm, it's really enjoyable. This is the Crochet Openwork Scarf.
The stitch is really simple. If you know how to do single crochet and chains of 3, you pretty much have the pattern down. The yarn changes colour strategically on its own. It gives the illusion that there's a lot more going on in the scarf than there truly is.

I love the pattern as a beginner - I'm just wondering at the final row is there a way to make the edges neater or do you leave the loops?

Hi Mikey! I love all your patterns and tutorials on this site, red heart , and Bernat. You are an awesome teacher. I've followed lots of your videos to perfect my hobby of crocheting. I was wondering if you could please please do a video on a hooded scarf. I've tried to make my own pattern but I can't quite it it right and I'm not sure of what I'm missing. Feel free to contact me via email and I can send a pic of exactly what I'm referring to because k have found several variations but I like the ones that look like a long Infiniti scarf with an added hood not the scoodie. Anyways thanks for your time have a blessed day.

I love the pattern and love working with self striping and hombres. One question - would it work with a lighter weight yarn? If I used a DK weight, what size hook would I need? Thanks
