Well, time is short, and you need a crochet baby blanket, give this one a try. The Bernat Blanket Stripes yarn makes this project even easier as you don't have to stop and change colours, yet it produces a fabulous blanket. Of course, if you prefer to choose your own colors, there are many shades of regular Bernat Blanket yarn that will work well.
I used just 2 balls and 3 hours one evening to crochet this quick and easy blanket. Its finished size is 29" x 34", just enough to cover a baby or be a comfy mat for a baby to lay on. It's plush and soft, perfect for a baby's soft skin.

We can use any yarn right?

At 6:40 Mikey adds a chain 1 before the slip stitch in round 2 to the beginning sc. So glad to finally figure out why I was having so much trouble.

At the end of round 2 Mikey chains 1 at 6:40 before he joins it to the first single crochet. This is not in the written pattern. Glad to have finally figur3d out why I couldn’t get this pattern working for me!!
