What To Do with Bernat Velvet Yarn

Daniel and I are predicting the Bernat Velvet yarn to be one of the biggest yarns for 2018 / 2019. Once you feel it, hook with it... you may just fall in love with it. Perfectly coloured natural shimmer. It's heaven gliding through your fingers.

This product is available at Joann Fabrics & Crafts, Michaels and Walmart. Other retailers may be carrying this product as well. Some of the retailers may be carrying only select colours. See a store near you.

I've crocheted a scarf and afghan with this yarn. Words hardly describe it. My friend Shannon is wearing one of the patterns I did for this product. The pattern will be released in the future.

    Mikey,

Is the pattern coming soon. I bought some of this yarn and am having a really hard time working with it. I start a pattern but keep findind myself unsatisfied with the "look" I have started and taken out my work atleast a dozen times. I am not sure if the pattern I am trying to use is just not working well with the velvet yarn or if its really is the yarn I am struggling with. I feel like a pattern to follow will allow me to really gauge if its the pattern/needle size, the yarn being hard to work with, or even if its just me. Any time line on when you will have the scarf pattern up?

Patterns still haven't been released yet for me to teach with. It's in the plan. I'm waiting for the green light.

Luck of the draw i guess?! I wasnt able to find and end piece to start on either side and gave up and just started roling from the outside anf i also had 3 joins in mine ? its not the end of the world and the yarn can be easily changed out to a new strand but still a little annoying .

Have you done anything else with this yarn? When i found it the other day i thought it was going to be my new favorite but when i tried it last night im going to have a hard time finding my stitches. Will try a bigger hook but i yarn tight so could still be an issue. Lol

Any project ideas would be awesome.

    Hi Aly,
I suggest you give this yarn another try. I just bought two balls myself and haven't found that issue so it might just be that ball in particular. I have started multiple projects with it. I really enjoy feeling it flow through my fingers.
