What To Do with Bernat Velvet Yarn

Daniel and I are predicting the Bernat Velvet yarn to be one of the biggest yarns for 2018 / 2019. Once you feel it, hook with it... you may just fall in love with it. Perfectly coloured natural shimmer. It's heaven gliding through your fingers.

This product is available at Joann Fabrics & Crafts, Michaels and Walmart. Other retailers may be carrying this product as well. Some of the retailers may be carrying only select colours. See a store near you.

I've crocheted a scarf and afghan with this yarn. Words hardly describe it. My friend Shannon is wearing one of the patterns I did for this product. The pattern will be released in the future.

I'm currently making an afghan, so easy, in DC3Tog. I tried the Cabbage Patch stitch, basically three DC, the next row is reverse DC. Didn't work well for me. I tried a few other stitches, then the DC3Tog, perfect. I'm using the velvet in Navy and Softened Blue b/c the shops carried so few colors. If I can find a third color that would work, I'll add it. Hope this helps.

I would love to make a cardigan for my mom with this yarn! Hopefully you'll come out with a tutorial for that soon.

I too have ripped my stiches out 4 times. I was trying to knit a blanket and yarn is moving every place as it is so slick. It feels great but is not knitting well for my project. I am knitting 4 strands with large needles (70) and would have thought this would knit great but so far NOT. Any feedback would be great before abandoning this and returning the yarn in 2 colors.
