A love-hate solid relationship is the Red Heart Scrubby yarn. Like its name implies, this uniquely textured yarn is great for knitting or crocheting dishcloths! Scrubby cloths clean dirty pots more quickly than cotton yarn dishcloths. Since Scrubby is polyester, it will dry a lot quicker! It exfoliates as well, so you can use it for washcloths.
Tip: I would use a food-handling glove on your yarn-feeding hand for crocheters to avoid the yarn from brushing your fingers as you use it. It will save the yarn from scraping your bare skin as it glides across.
This yarn can be hard on the hands for crocheting as it slides across your yarn-feeding hand. A scrubbing cloth made with this yarn is the most effective scrubby for my bathtub and glass shower walls. As a knitter, it's easier to use as there's not a lot of abbrassion on the hands as you make something with. For the size of the dishcloths though, I don't mind this yarn in short crocheting spans to make a finished project.
As promised, it doesn't hang onto the water long and dries quickly.
