In an outcry, people wanted the original prototype to be bigger using Medium #4 Ply Weight yarn, but I was ignoring the requests at first the number of people wanting it forced me back to the drawing board with the blanket. This is the Crochet Study of Rage Worsted Blanket.
I ripped apart the original back at few rounds and contacted Yarnspirations Design Team to ask them about multiples in circle growth. From this, I could study my design and figure out how to get it to go bigger.
Unfortunately, there's not a clean cut to repeat certain rounds, and it will continuously grow. The arcing of a circle impacts the growth. While most of the repeating sections are the same stitch counts, there are small differences. Rounds 1 to 32 of the original blanket the same and from there, the blanket takes a detour.
The blanket finished with several 'visual' repeats and ended at 58" diameter.
There's a Problem Though
To get the bigger sizes, I used spare yarns I had left over in Red Heart Super Saver Brushed. I don't have the ball breakdown for the colouring. The blanket weighs 1230 grams = 9 Balls of yarn. That is the best I can tell you.
Most people will substitute anyway and ignore my colouring options, so you will need to do that for this blanket.
The colours shown in the blanket are shale, soft mink, clay and khaki.
Create a magnificent round blanket using an array of fabulous crochet stitches for this stitch sampler crochet blanket.
There will not be a tutorial for this but the original Study of Rage Blanket from rounds 1 to 32 are the same and is filmed up.

Yarn
Red Heart Super Saver Brushed yarn. 142 g/5 oz, 233 meters/255 yards. The blanket uses 1230 grams or 44 ounces of yarn.
I don't know the colour breakdown for the amount of balls per colour needed.
A - Soft Mink
B - Shale
C - Khaki
D - Clay
You will use 5 mm / H/8 Crochet Hook.

Find Another Mandala Blanket
The Crochet Mandala Stitch Along was a goodie from the past. A full tutorial series was available as well. Free pattern is also available too.
Suzanne Buroker says
I thought I’d let you know that round 29 in the printed pattern for the Rage Worsted Blanket is incorrect. It states “1 dcfp around next dc.” When it should read “ 1 dcfp around next sc.”
Thank you. Love the pattern!
Mikey says
Thanks for that. I'm fixing it now.
S says
Hi! Is this pattern on Ravelry? I searched for it but couldn't find it. Trying to get color combo ideas. Thanks so much for everything you do!
Mikey says
I've not listed it. Due to me linking other patterns in the same article, it doesn't qualify for being listed.
Kim Loper says
Round 29 needs to be rewritten as it is not correct. I had to watch the video and the ideo and those directions are different. You’re missing the SC
Mikey says
10-4 Thanks... I'm on it. Michael
