Yarnspirations, the Craft Yarn Council, supports Yarnsgiving, an initiative with Warm Up America. It is running from October 12th to December 3rd, 2024.
This year's theme, "making with yarn and giving to others," reflects the warmth and generosity of the holiday season, encouraging everyone to create beautiful, heartfelt items that can be gifted to loved ones or donated to those in need.

How to participate?
- Craft: Celebrate the season by indulging in holiday-themed projects. Visit our Holiday-themed round-ups to find endless inspiraition on everything from pumpkins to tree skirts.
- Give: Share your handmade creations with loved ones or donate them to Warm Up America!, a nonprofit dedicated to providing handmade blankets and other items to those in need.
- Spread the Word: Join the Yarnsgiving movement on social media by using the hashtag #yarnsgiving to share your projects and inspire others.

Michael, I have been there. My mom died of cancer and when she was so bad others gave use blankets, among other things. I appreciated the ones who let me know I wasn't alone.

Thanks for your personal involvement and support of charity fiber arts. Also thanks to your subscribers who do the same. As a cancer patient, I was gifted hats, a shawl, and lap quilt. Just before my mother died in the hospital during the pandemic, her nurse tucked her in with a donated blanket. Even though I could have made these things myself, it meant the world that someone else was thinking of us enough to create something beautiful.
