In December 2022, we introduced a new portion of YouTube called YouTube Membership.
This is a level above the subscription level. And no, we haven't switched the channel so that all the tutorials are at the membership level. Select videos are, but there's a reason for it. I'll explain below.
Since 2008, we've kept patterns free and the tutorials flowing. Our goal is to continue offering free patterns. The YouTube membership allows Mikey to upgrade and continue to deliver free content.
The YouTube Membership is a small group that allows those who want to help us with a monthly subscription so we can continue to do our magic.
We have two levels:
Stitcher's Passport is the cheapest level and allows you to help us. You will receive private community updates that are directed to Stitcher's Passport and Journey Members from time to time. Your name will have a loyalty badge, and Daniel's emojis will be used to comment on live chats with me.
The Stitcher's Journey is the ALL ACCESS LEVEL. It's just a bit more and gives you full access to the Membership Only Tutorials. Communications are happening at this level, including behind-the-scenes stuff that Stitcher's Passport or regular subscribers cannot see.
Mikey has the business sense to offer more for less. He knows there will be members in this area, and overcharging for this area doesn't make sense. Some YouTube Hosts charge as high as $75 per month, which is pretty bold.
How to Join
You can use this link to join. You will default to the Stitcher's Passport, but click Stitcher's Journey to see more and choose the one you want.
This is a monthly payment. YouTube is not selling a year out as it gives you, the viewer and me, the creator, an opportunity to opt-out at any time. So there are no long-term contracts.
We are a Canadian Creator, so the APP for YouTube doesn't have the join and membership features yet, but it is in the works with YouTube.
If you have signed up for the Stitcher's Passport and want to upgrade, you can do so anytime. Go back to where you joined and select Stitcher's Journey. You will be instantly upgraded.
All members can do a Super Chat to get my direct attention once a month. This is a $5 value on its own, and you usually have to pay for it.
Please note that communications with the membership are more private and unfiltered. I believe that people who have opted for the memberships are okay with my personality and lifestyle, so I can be free to speak with you and show you things going on around home with Daniel and me.
All transactions happen directly with YouTube, so we will not require you to keep your personal information on file. We won't have your credit card numbers or personal details.
Working Ahead
The speed of YouTube requires me to work ahead. It's not uncommon for me to work weeks and months ahead of time. Usually, those videos are hidden until the moment they launch. So you won't know what's coming out until it appears.
The main feature of the YouTube Membership, Journey Level, is that those members have full access with early access from the moment they get onto YouTube. This includes jumping ahead on select stitch-along.
A Few Notes
There are no plans to make the channel all paid for. Some tutorials will be only for the Journey Members, but most will eventually go to the general public when the time is right.
We have no plans to charge for patterns as we don't have a customer service department to oversee transactions and service a helpdesk.
This is being done to help us out so we can re-invest back into the business. We are offering something in return to thank you for your support. That's the exclusive access and storytelling I wouldn't usually share online with the general public.
Some patterns will be released only to members as part of our testing ground for specific patterns before global release.
Is this exclusive? Yes, it is. When asking for help, people expect something in return. So this is our way to give back exclusively to those who want to help us.
We certainly appreciate regular subscribers. We currently have over 4,100 videos on YouTube. There are always lots to find and patterns you may have missed.

I'm now unable to access your members only. I was able to a few days ago. I joined in Jan thru the google PP. I'm not sure what happened. I want to make sure I can get on and that y'all are being paid properly. Thank you.

Hi Bonnie,
I am going to ask a few questions to see if we may be able to find a solution.
For myself, when I try to assist people, I try to go thru the menu options to attempt to explain to people having issues. Is it possible you may have hit the “end membership & perks” under the “see perks” menu?
When you are logged into the YouTube app, you can go to your account’s menu and there is an option for “purchases and membership “. Do you still see our channel in that list?
For me, I will switch between YouTube accounts that are active in my home so I can assist people that do not have membership. Is it possible your device is logged into another YouTube account or maybe logged out of your account altogether?
