Crochet Alaskan Blue Cowl
I wanted something new to wear on the upcoming Alaskan Crochet Cruise so came up with this quick blue crochet cowl using Bernat's new Dazzle yarn. I found this Lacy Mesh stitch that I'm using today from The Big Book of Crochet Stitches.
Alaska Blue Cowl

- 1 ball Bernat Dazzle - Sky Blue Shine
- Crochet Hook size L 8.0mm
- Yarn Needle
Special Stitch
cl - 2 dc cluster - yoh insert hook into st, pull up loop, yoh and pull thru 2 loops on hook, yoh and insert hook into the same stitch and pull up a loop, yoh and pull thru 2 loops, yoh and pull thru the 3 remaining loops.
Worked in multiples of 4 + 2.
Chain 22
Row 1 - Sc into 2nd chain from hook and each ch across. Turn.
Row 2 - (RS) Ch 1, sc into first st, *ch 2, skip 1 st, cl into next st, ch 2, skip 1 st, sc into next st. Repeat * across. Turn.
Row 3 - Ch 5 (counts as dc + ch 2), sc into the cl, *ch 5, sc into cl. Repeat * across to last cl, ch 2, dc into last sc. Turn.
Row 4 - Ch 1, sc into dc, *ch 2, cl into sc, ch 2, sc in next ch 5. Repeat * across ending with a sc into the 3rd chain of the beginning ch-5. Turn.
Row 5 thru 38 - Repeat rows 3 & 4.
Fold in half with right sides together. Slip stitch together dc and first chain from foundation ch, *ch-2, slst together into cl and foundation ch, ch-2, slst together into sc and foundation ch. Repeat * across. Finish off.
Finished size - 10" x 28"
