At a home decor store, I noticed pan protectors, and I immediately thought, I have cotton, and I have the desire. Can I create something to save Daniel's pans?
Daniel creates magic in the kitchen and does use higher end cookware as it lasts longer and does a better job, in his opinion. Due to the cost of his pans, I thought I could save money by doing pan protectors so the surfaces don't scratch when he's piling them in the kitchen drawer. This is the Basic Cookware Protector Crochet Pattern.
This is the basic model.
Keep in mind, please remove this before you use the pan on any heated surfaces.

I think there might be an error in round 5 of the basic cookware protector pattern? The round starts with the chain 4 (counts as dc plus ch 1) followed by another dc. This is the first of the corners. However, the pattern repeat is "*1 dc in next sc. 1 hdc in next 3 sc. 1 dc in next sc. (1 dc. Ch 1. 1 dc) in next sc." The repeat seems to also end with a corner (1 dc, ch 1, 1 dc). That means you would have two corners directly next to one another. I think the pattern repeat needs to end with 1 dc, not (1dc, ch 1, 1 dc). Otherwise, great pattern!

You're right. Great eye. Correcting in a few minutes. Thanks for noticing that.

Whoops I think I found something else. Under the border, there is a beginning parentheses with no end, and also the pattern states "Rep from * around" but there is no asterisk to show where the repeat begins.
Also, although this is not a big deal, should the pattern at the end of row 6 of the middle section tell us to finish off prior to starting the first arm?

Awesome thanks.
