Bargello crochet is a concept in crochet where the row steps either up or down in a block formation. It gives things like this Making Waves Crochet Blanket pattern the look that is has.
We have more Bargello type of patterns and I have put them both below as well. I think the hardest part is getting started as the chain will be exceptionally long. However, after the first pass in 1st row, you will see it shrinks considerably.
To change the size of this blanket, it's in multiples of 53 chains + 2. The designer is recommending you put stitch markers every 50 chains to see the count as the original chain count is 320, which is a lot to remember, and get distracted to lose count.
The throw size is 46.5" x 56" long. In Caron Cakes, this is a great concept to try.
