Crochet Beans & Bobbles Chevron Afghan
I'm excited to introduce the Beans & Bobbles Chevron Afghan. My favorite afghan will always be a chevron style, no matter what stitch is used. I grew up with a chevron afghan draped over the back of the sofa, so to me there is nothing more comforting.
This #CrochetBB is the first of a series of afghans that I will be presenting for you. I designed this to have no right or wrong side as the texture is seen and felt on both sides of the final project.
The bean stitch is a lovely stitch that reminds me of a woven basket. Don't let the word bobble scare you off this pattern as this uses the simplest form of a bobble stitch to achieve the nubby texture on either side of the blanket.
I have crocheted my blanket using 5 Caron Big Cakes in Cookie Crumble.
The second page is only photos of my final afghan, so if you prefer to save ink, just set your printer to only print page 1.

I'm awful at making blankets bigger. If I wanted a queen sized with some drape how many chains would I need to start.
Mikey says
Jeanne states in the pattern the multiple are 23 + 2. So stay in multiples of 23 and then add 2 at the end when you hit approximately the right size. Queen size blankets are Queen – 90″ x 95″. I cannot give you an exact chain count as the original isn't done in that size but if you measure your chain to about 90" long staying in the multiples, it should work. Each of us has a different tension. So my chain may be tighter or looser than yours. That's what I would do.

Can you help me identify what rows are color changes?
Mikey says
I'll ask Jeanne to circle back and try to assist. Michael

This one was crocheted with Caron Big Cakes and I just let the colors flow as them changed right from the ball! No planning at all. 🙂
