Crochet Hugs and Kisses Tunic
My Hugs and Kisses Tunic is a great garment to crochet for either winter or summer. I used Caron Cakes in Red Velvet, which contains 20% wool, so this top will be worn to keep me warm. But, if you are looking fora short sleeve summer tunic, substitute the new Caron Cotton Cakes for the regular cakes for a cool tunic to add to your wardrobe! Please note that if you choose to use the Caron Cotton Cakes, you will need to double the number of cakes needed (so you will need 4 - 8 cakes, depending on the size you are crocheting).
When Jeanne Steinhilber came out with her first Hugs and Kisses blanket, I knew I wanted to make a top using the pattern. I see tops or cardigans in almost every skein of yarn...that's just the way my brain is wired. And, when I see an exceptional blanket pattern (like Jeanne's Hugs and Kisses) my mind immediately thinks "How can I alter this amazing blanket pattern into a top or cardigan?" I'm so glad that Jeanne allowed me to morph her Hugs and Kisses Blanket into my Hugs and Kisses Tunic.
My pattern includes changes for all women's sizes XS - 5X, as well as the option to crochet the sleeves fitted or not fitted.
I hope you enjoy this pattern as much as I did. Until you see me next time here on The Crochet Crowd, you can find me on Ravelry as The Crochet Ninja.

I had to giggle when I saw the top made by Donna Bondy from the hugs and kisses pattern. It is a wonderful pattern by Jeanne and it is amazing what the Crochet Crowd has done with it. Thanks for featuring Donna Bondy and introducing her to everyone. This is a great article!
