Crochet Octopus
Crochet your own Amigurumi Octopus. This octopus is about 7" tall and is dying to wrap her tentacles around someone with love.
Mathematically, she only has 7 legs. It's not you... it's the doll.
As soon as I saw this pattern, I was like, "OMG how sweet is she?" I want to crochet her up. I love the eyes and the shaping of the head.
Her best friend has been done in purple and you can see that version on the pattern itself.

Mikey,
Trying to catch up and so love this Octopus. Is this the same as the pink one that Daniel is loving on The Crochet Crowd Facebook page? I get it now!
You guys always make me smile!

I just reached the tentacle part of this pattern, and it looks to me that it will only have 7 tentacles..... I am afraid this makes me a bit nuts... why would it not be the correct number for an octopus. I think I am going to have to take it all apart now and redo it starting with a count of 8 so I can have 8 tentacles.

Hi Mikey! Thanks for this I can't wait to start it. When I downloaded the pattern, round #9 appears to be gone. Is it my computer?

PLEASE HELP ME! excuse my noobie self, what does alternate mean exactly? I have done many Google searches, read books and blogs, with little help. I have had to unravel and re-do this over and over. am I supposed turn, putting 7th rnd on top on thr 6th rnd? or do the 7th rnd then turn, putting the 8th rnd on the 7th? so confused.or just keep going in the same direction??
jenny says
This is done in rounds not rows. You do not turn it. you just keep going round and round.
Alternate means just that. (every other round)
7th 9th 11th are alternate rounds since the pattern shows you differing 8th 10th and 12th rounds.
To make the pattern clearer to yourself read it from start to finish at least three or four times before you start to crochet. That way you will understand what it wants you to do.
