Timber Yarns is an independent yarn company in Conestoga, Ontario. I picked up the yarn from Tracy's Rolling Yarn Shop in Nova Scotia. I used the Marled Fingering Work Sock Bundle as my yarn of choice. There are so many colour combinations with this product that it was tough to decide. Try my new Crochet Work Sock Inspired Beanie Hat Pattern.
One bundle can make two of my crochet beanie hats. The brim for the second one has to to be different due to the yarn quantity. It works out to be just over $22 CDN per hat, which is reasonable considering that it's 80% superwash merino and 20% nylon.
Daniel, on the right, is wearing the original hat, and with the yarn left over, Michael, on the left, had to change the brim to accommodate the remaining yarn left over. There's not enough yarn to do both identically. The work bundle yarn is meant for socks.
Daniel needed a hat to kick around the yard with his tractor as the weather was changing into winter.
With Daniel losing his hair, keeping the chill off his head is becoming more apparent.

Instructions
Tips:
- Due to the size of the stitches, it’s easy to skip a stitch accidentally. You may have skipped a stitch by accident if your counts are incorrect.
- The hat is worked in a continuous circle, with the stitch marker at the end of each round moved up to ensure accurate counts.
- The starting of each round is slightly different to prevent the growth of the hat from being obvious.
With main colour, create an adjustable ring (magic circle).
