Hypnotic Tiles Afghan
Introducing the Crochet Hypnotic Tiles Afghan by me, Mikey of The Crochet Crowd. This is using Caron Cakes Yarn featuring the Red Velvet Colour.
In my design today, there are layers within each of the squares that are in the afghan. The afghan is made up of 20 squares that are joined as you go and then with a final border around the edge.

The pattern isn't difficult but has a texture that includes layers of texture and with the colour transitions of this yarn, the afghan looks amazing.

Hi! Just started the border for my hypnotic tiles blanket and I had just one question. On the sc row is it 2sc chain2 2sc? Becausebin video it is but the written says 1sc chain2 1sc. Thanks!

Challenge accepted, of course your video made it look easy and once I get going I will be able to remember the flow. I did try to get all the same dye lot of yarn today but was not successful. Does it really matter for the Caron cakes? The only way it might have worked was 2 balls each of 3 dye lots.?Michaels failed me today in getting all the same dye lot.
Jeanne - The Crochet Crowd says
On a project like this, I don't think the dye lot will be a problem.

If I use solid yarn do I need to do the join as you go or would I stitch them together after I habe the 20 squares made?
Jeanne - The Crochet Crowd says
You can certainly join using any method you prefer. As Mikey always says, "you are the artist". 🙂
