Crochet Pocket Wraps/Shawls are a great gift-giving idea but also personal touches we can do with our own hands.
They can be ideas for giving comfort, like prayer shawls but also practical with pockets to hold whatever you would need quick access to. Maybe a cell phone or tissues or other must-have ideas.
Hello Pockets Wrap
The Crochet Hello Pockets Wrap was designed by our team member, Wendy Maruna. We have the ability to adapt designs with our partnership with Yarnspirations.
Wendy was super inspired by the Hello Yellow Top and also the Mitred Blanket by Yarnspirations. She paired the stitch combinations together.
It's almost like a mixed-tape rendition for that pattern.
Hello Pockets Wrap
The Crochet Hello Yellow Top has a nice block boxed stitch. Wendy figured in the Red Heart Gemstone that it would look really neat.
If you love this top, you can have a free pattern for that as well.
The Crochet Might Ridge Blanket pattern is the next pattern she put together. There is a free tutorial for this blanket as well.
Wendy crocheted the squares until they are 10" big and then sewed them into position.
You can sew the pockets at the height that best suits you.

Crochet Velvet Cables Pocket Shawl
The Crochet Velvet Cable Pocket Wrap is comfy and cozy, especially in the cooler seasons. You can customize the length to match your arm lengths as you go.
Donuts to dollars, I bet the cabling looks even better in person.
I enjoy cabling as it keeps me more interested in the project to watch the stitch story unfold. There is a matching stitch diagram to be able to follow, along with the written words if you prefer.

Crochet Message Pocket Shawl
The Crochet Message Pocket Shawl pattern has a really nice texture. Showing the Larksfoot Track Stitch.
Designed to comfy and cozy. You can customize the length or sew the pockets to your comfort level with your arm length.
Once you start the pattern, it's an easy repeat throughout. There is actually two panels that make up the span of this. This allows the texture to appear symmetrical. It's sewn at the back. You could even enjoy this wrap without the pockets too.

The Crochet Perfect-Pockets Shawl by Sonja Hood is a viral concept that is flying around online.
As a courtesy to the community, we are blogging about this as we have been asked several times where this pattern is. Please note, this is not a free pattern.
In blogging about this pattern, we are not receiving commissions or kick-back for this write-up. It's merely a place to reference where to find this pattern if this suits your fancy.
Crochet With Love Pocket Shawl
The Crochet With Love Pocket Shawl uses the Alpine Crochet Stitch. It's super easy to do and you really don't have to think much about it, if you know how to crochet.
It's a large rectangle with some edging that's done in the end. You use the same stitch as the shawl to make the pockets and sew them on.
You will be able to customize the length of the pocket shawl by doing tests on yourself as you crochet. Get those pockets in the right position to match your arm length.

Crochet Textured Pocket Wrap
The Crochet Textured Pocket Wrap is the sister to the Crochet Hooded Pocket Wrap without the added stitches to form the hood.
During the research and designing of this hooded version. I had written notes of my mathematics and thought process. Originally, I wasn't going to design a pocket wrap without a hood.
Using my notes, I was able to make the second version easily by changing the starting counts of the wrap so extra stitches are not in place to form the hood.
Tunisian Pocket Wrap
The Tunisian Simple Pockets Wrap pattern is designed by Anita Grover who's first passion in the yarn arts is Tunisian.
Rightly named as using the word as simple as the Tunisian Simple Stitch and Tunisian Slip Stitches are used in this. The stitching combinations creates a striping effect but it also creates the appears of a checkboard. It's really neat.
This is using Red Heart Hygge yarn.

Crochet Hooded Pocket Wrap
The Crochet Hooded Pocket Wrap is my version of this challenge. I had design goals and literally designed and made this in less than 24 hours!
- Add a hood to the concept to keep the Nova Scotian Wind from chilling the back of my neck and head.
- Design it so the hood works so it can be rested down and still sit comfortably on the body.
- Add my signature love for texture. The arrow stitching and moss stitch are used.
- Design pockets big enough but also are not square so things inside don't easily fall out. There are 8 sides to the pocket. 7 of the sides are sewn to the wrap so the pockets are wider inside than the opening.
- Use chunky weight yarn because I am short of time and wanted to have the additional warmth with level 5 yarn.
The project is blocked at the end for best shaping and presentation.
