Launching Boxing Day (December 26, 2024) is the annual stitch-along designed by Jeanne Steinhiber. Inspired By Grace Crochet Blanket is a stitch sampler that offers a lot of stitching texture.
Free Pattern + Optional Purchase
Each week, the pattern will be revealed starting December 26, 2024. A link will appear for the free download of the pattern. The crochet tutorials will remain free. The free download instructions will not include crochet diagrams.
All 5 weeks, including the crochet diagrams, are available if you buy the pattern. The diagrams took about 60 hours to make, and the funds raised will go towards therapy for Mikey's hands.

Special Stitches
- Bobble = Dc4tog in same stitch or space.
- Extended single crochet = Insert hook into st or sp, yoh, draw up a loop, yoh, draw through one loop, yoh, draw through both loops.
- Hdc Join = Join certain rounds with hdc to first st (sc, top of ch 3). This is equivalent to a ch-2 sp corner. When joining a new yarn to a corner space, use the hdc post joining as the ch-2 sp.
- Picot = Ch 3, sl st in the previous stitch to close picot.
Important Notes:
- For some of the rounds, you will turn around the blanket. In other rounds, you do not. Look at the end of each instruction to determine if you will turn.
- Rounds that are right side (RS) are indicated in green. Rounds that are the wrong side (WS) are red.
- The stitch counts provided are per side, making it easier to follow along.
- Because of the deep textures, I like to lightly mist at the end of each week and stretch a bit to block into the square.

Week 3 to 5 coming soon.
Due to its complexity, this design is a square blanket, and there are no plans to change it to a rectangle or a circle. Jeanne crocheted two versions of this blanket to show you what it could look like if you changed it from Caron One Pound to Caron Colorama Halo yarn.
