What To Do With Caron Baby Cakes
Caron Yarns has just launched a brand new yarn line exclusively at Michaels Stores called Caron Baby Cakes. It's a spin off, due to popular demand, from the Original Caron Cakes. Crocheters and knitters requested Caron Cakes be in non-wool materials, especially for baby, so they have removed the wool and substituted with nylon. So this yarn is 82% Acrylic and 18% Nylon.

Myself, I got to see a few yarn swatches of this yarn myself. I got to feel the yarn. I think babies and mothers alike with LOVE this yarn choice for a baby blanket.

I bought this in Ohio yesterday and worked on a baby blanket on the way home to Canada thinking I will pick more up at Michael's here. Checked today and they told me they don't carry it. So disappointing. We have a store here called Len's Mills but they were closed.
Mikey, do you think they will have it in Hawksville or Kitchener?

Help! I bought two cakes when I first saw this not knowing what for do with it. Later decided to do a blanket with it using the Tiles design on here. But I can't find more to finish the project t. I need two more cakes and my local Michaels isn't getting more. Nor is it available online. Hoping I don't have to frog the whole project and make something smaller because I really like how the blanket is looking. I just can't seem to find the ballerina color anywhere. :(. Any ideas what are appropriated, even if it's a "you could is around the edges" type thought to finish the blanket. Every design I've thought of just seems wonky to me.

Have the same problem. Bought three that were on clearance (should have been a clue) for 2.49/buy two get one free. Have a beautiful crocheted blanket almost done and it is now obvious I'll need four. Cannot find another cake and Michaels just says they are not "currently" in stock. Does that mean they will be eventually?

While on vacation in Canada, I stopped at Michaels in Brossard twice last week. They did not have Caron Baby Cake yarn. When I got back to NY, I tried to order on line, but it is an "In store only" item. I hope I can find it in a NY Michaels.
