Crochet Color Weave Wrap

Introducing the Crochet Color Weave Wrap. Yarnspirations Designers nailed this for design and concept! Just outstanding. It uses the concept of using two colours of Bernat POP at the same time. The colours play with each other and you can create practically one-of-a-kind wraps using this concept.

The stitch is much larger than is shown in the picture. I've gone down a hook size and it's still larger.
    Any ideas?

I love this pattern and I’ve started it three times but I just don’t understand the stitch pattern. Any chance you’ll make a tutorial on this?

The 2nd row fills in the holes in the chain made when skipping 2, you put the double crotchets in the chain itself. Going forward, you are going to be using the previous row skips. The stitches don't go in the open area but in the 2 double crotchets that are there.
I hope that helps. It took me far too long to figure this out on a pattern that should be easier to read.

I would love to make this wrap. I thought it was going to be easy because the skill level was easy but I'm new to crocheting and don't understand how to make the colors line up (Note section of pattern). Do you know of any tutorials that could help me?
