Crochet is elegant. From The Middle Concept Afghan, it is called the Crochet Frosted Tips Afghan.
The afghan has strategic surface overlays as demonstrated in the tutorial below. The surface overlay indicates how the stitchwork works around the square afghan. Using Bernat Blanket, you will find this will work up quickly. I stopped at 48" square, but you can go as big or as small as you need.

Introduction
This blanket is a From The Middle Concept with a strategic surface overlay. It’s best to do the surface overlay as soon as possible when required versus waiting until the end. It’s easier to access the stitches as you go than wait until the end to do the surface overlay. I have marked when to do the surface overlay. The Main Colour (MC) is Silver Steel, with Vintage White being a surface overlay.

People will ask me if I have figured out this stitch to be a rectangle. I've not been about to do that. The afghan uses a 10 mm N Hook. 4 Balls of Bernat Blanket Silver Steel and 2 Balls of Bernat Blanket Vintage White.

Love the afghan, but hate that it's square; I use more rectangular ones. So all I did was make 2 original squares, slip stitched together, and then continued in the pattern all the way around. Easy to follow the frosting details, as well. Will finish & post closer to Christmas...

I'm really sorry. I should have been more sensitive to design one for rectangle and square. For this concept. I'm unsure on how to make it rectangle in one piece. I apologize for the inconvenience.

Hi , I have started the Frosted Tips afghan and noticed a couple small mistakes in Rows 9 and 10. An experienced crocheter would pick right up on them, but a novice may not. In the 9th round , it says, on the 3rd line, to work into the dc when it should say sc. In the 10th rnd, in the 2nd line, it says dc in the in the 4th dc, when it should say sc in the 4th dc. So far I'm loving the afghan, so different !! Robin
