Not all new moms want baby blankets to be pastels. Neutral colours that blend into the background are also trending, making the baby the centre of attention.

The bottom line is that the baby blanket needs to keep the baby warm. This is the Trendy Modern Baby Blanket.

As much as the baby afghan is designed for the baby, the colours are really up to the mom's style.

If you want to change the size of this blanket to make it bigger, the stitch multiple is 2 chs. Changing the size of the blanket will change the yarn quantities but its up to you on figuring how much yarn you will need.

The pattern is posted. It has a GET PATTERN button on the top of the article. You are welcome to make a baby sweater with this yarn if you wish. I'm not aware of any sweaters being made with this material. You might have to google or search Ravelry to see if others have done it.
