Crochet Crest of the Waves Shawl
See the Crochet Crest of the Waves Shawl, a new pattern to try. It reminds me of wings spreading out.
There is a crochet diagram available to get yourself started. It's definitely an intermediate level as the ripples build out as you go.
It starts off at the back of the neck and goes outward. This means that you could make this any size you wish. Just adjust for your yarn usage if you are changing sizes.

Sister Shawl
This is the sister to this shawl. It has a different start up but once row 2 starts, it's the same pattern. It's also using self-striping yarn. This is called the Crochet Lacy Shawl. Though the pattern is the same, there is a new video for the Crest Shawl which I intentionally slowed way down and if this video is too quick for you. The Crest Version is much slower with a lot of extra explanations where it matters the most.
