Mikey, aka Michael Sellick, of The Crochet Crowd, started this online journey back in 2008. A mere hobby in trying to reach out to others as he was mentally struggling with his own issues. His goal was simple, find others in the yarn communities, like him, that have a common interest.

The journey and main baby of the whole idea started with a YouTube Channel and then in 2011, an official website was developed. Michael is not only the face of The Crochet Crowd but also the working engine behind the crowd in self-taught programming, social media and so much more.

Enjoy the stitching journey. Life is short, enjoy this wonderful hobby and all of the learning opportunities that come with it.

I loveee the pattern and I wanna try it with cake yarns. Since the wieghts are not the same I’d have to increase or decrease the size. Is it multiples of 6?

    1. Is the count right though. Stitches don’t sit directly over the top of each other. They are always shifted slightly.

yes the stitches are right. my stitches are slightly shifted when i start my 2nd pass, so it does make sense. thank you for your help. my other question is when doing the left side foundation do i chain in the back bump of the chain like with the right side. thanks again!

    1. Diana, there was do diagram included with the pattern. The one you saw in the tutorial is just my hand notes for teaching it. It wasn’t anything official. I’m sorry.
