This type of colouring is referred to as maximalism contemporary and is trending hard for 2024 and beyond. With a cottage core look and feel using Caron Jumbo Twirl Cakes, this is an eye-popping dramatic baby blanket. Designed by Mikey. This is the Crochet Max Baby Blanket pattern.

    Revised July 19, 2024.

Once the pattern gets going, there is a 10-round repeat with this blanket that measures 38" square. The design can be as big as you prefer. Mikey designed and crocheted this over two days. It's a fast baby blanket to create.

The written pattern says to break A at the end of Row 15, but I believe color A continues to the end of Row 17, correct?

I have a question. In row 9, it says to skip the first stitch after rhe sc in the corner. It does not, however, say to chain one. I am off by one stitch in the count. Please advise.

Sorry for the extra long delay. I recrocheted this again to double check everything. You were right. I have updated the pattern on your suggestion plus fixed a couple other things that are further into this pattern.
