The Crochet Aqua Blossoms Hexi Blanket is the next stitch along with our friends at Joann. When I first filmed the tutorial in late November 2023, the yarn was brand new and not even out yet. I've been able to play with it. It's called Caron Jumbo Twirl yarn. It's unique in the way it looks, too.
Marly Bird will be making a sweater. You can get more information on that one as well.

Introduction
The Vibe of the Blanket
I couldn't help but think of tea, sandwiches and nicer weather when I saw this blanket. When I went to Australia in 2023, there was a little tea shop around the corner from our hotel.

Most of the tables had baskets of yarn and knitting and crochet tools. Most of the tables had a beautiful draping crochet afghan that you could use to keep yourself warm if you needed it.

This little tea shop was called The Tea Cosy, located at 7 Atherden Street in Sydney Australia, just a couple small blocks from the Sydney Opera House.

Last spring in 2023, we had the Check Please Crochet Blanket. That stitch along is long over but the pattern and videos remain to be free.

Hey Mikey! I just finished the Aqua Blossoms afghan. I love it! I used Red Heart Ombre in several colors and white and a 6mm hook. Personally I don't like fringe so I added an all round picot border in the white. I posted on Yarnspirations this morning and I'm getting good feedback! Thank you again for a great pattern that was easy to follow and as always beautiful!

Milieu, I have been trying for 4 months to get Caron Jumbo twril yarn in off white. I have had no luck. Can you help me get two skeins or please tell me a good substitute for what I don’t have. I have a beautiful unfinished Afghan and crocheting is the only relaxing thing I have. Thank you for reading my email.
Mikey says
Morning Janis, that's a great question for Yarnspirations. This yarn was made as a limited quantity. Yarnspirations will know where or if this yarn is still available. You can contact them here: https://www.yarnspirations.com/pages/contact
Best wishes.

Week 3 round six video and written pattern are not the same. In the written pattern it says to work 2 rows down into the 4th round but the video works into the slip stich. Which is correct?
Mikey says
Please follow the pattern. I'm sorry about that.
Holly Coy says
I became a journey level member, mainly for Aqua-blossoms early releases, and I am happy but couldn't find the early written printables. Am I searching in earnest? Thank you for such a robust channel.
Wendy Maruna says
We weren’t able to supply the written for Journey members.
We weren’t sure if the pattern would be available to binge early, and it is only available weekly. The final written instructions will be released this coming Monday. The written for weeks one, two , three are available now.
Carol says
Has anyone ran out if canal blue yarn if gollowing original pattern? I checked my gauge and it is ok?
Daphne says
Just a quick question because a Joann's email reminded me of this this morning. How big should the finished blanket be?
Mikey says
Approx 56½” [143.5 cm] x 64½” [163.5 cm], excluding fringe.
Daphne says
Oops, and thank you for the reply. It hadn't shown up on my monitor when I hit the submit button.
Daphne says
Never mind! I somehow managed to miss the big huge spot at the bottom of the pattern where it is listed. In my defence, I hadn't had any caffeine yet this morning before I asked that!
Pam says
All the yarn has arrived and I can't wait to get started on the blanket! Beautiful pattern!
Tiffini Woltz says
Good morning Mikey. This pattern is so elegant. I can't wait to get started. I just started filling my cart and wanted to let you know that the link to the Caron Jumbo Twirl is incomplete. It takes you to the Caron Jumbo, not the new Twirl version. I know it's a first world problem I was able to navigate around it, but I thought you'd want to have it corrected before the masses start filling up your inbox. Thank you for always sharing your creativity with us!
