Learn how to Crochet Lush Life Blanket using one of the most popular yarns today, Bernat Blanket Yarn.
This blanket plays with the concept of simply crocheting double crochets and front post trebles (fptr). The FPTR's are easy to manage and create the luscious textures and ultra-softness, in this already super plush yarn. It's like hugging a cloud.
Cuddle up on the couch or put on the chick flick and cry into a bowl of popcorn. This blanket is fabulous. The video tutorial below is available to show you the steps. It's really easy. I would even guess beginners could master this one.

Hi! I received my kit today and it contains 6 balls of color A and 6 balls of color B. The pattern that came with the yarn says this is for a 52” X 60” Afghan and says you need 6 balls of each. But your tutorial talks to 3 balls of each, not 6. Can you help me to understand?
Thanks so much!
Jane

The tutorial was likely done in a smaller size than what the patterns calls for.

I want to do the bigger one and don’t know how many more skeins I will need of each color. I want to do the bigger one as your video explains. How much bigger will it be?

We can't honestly answer how many more balls you would need, not everyone's tension is the same mine is much tighter than Mikey's so we wouldn't necessarily use the same amount of yarn for the same project, I would suggest using one ball to do the one stripe and see how far that takes you, from there you should be able to gauge how many more you might need.

Hi Mikey -
I LOVE this Lush Life Blanket so much! I am new to knitting (not a crocheter). I bought all the yarn already thinking this was a knitting pattern - oops! Would you happen to have this in a knitting pattern? I am so excited to get started on this. Best Wishes.
Thank you so much.

Hi Mikey , As usual another one of your wonderful tutorials ! Thank you , I am wondering if this needs a border? and i was wondering if i could start with single crochet foundation row , then a row of double crochet and then final row would be a single crochet row across. Thank you so much.

I don't think it does but if you feel like it should, follow your heart. 😀
