Crochet Pebbled Texture Hat for Adults
Make this adult Pebbled Texture Hat. This hat is loaded with what crocheters love... TEXTURE! The criss-cross front post double crochets provide the deep texture appearance and also doubles up the thickness of the hat. This means it will be warmer.
For the tutorial, I used Red Heart Hopscotch and the colour is called Somersault. You just need 1 ball of yarn for this. I used the same hook size of 5 mm / H hook. There's enough to make the pom pom with a handful of yarn left over.
I found the stitchwork provides the hat to be more elastic in nature. With crisscrossing stitches, it seems to shape to the head beautifully.
I have provided an additional tutorial below for this hat if you need help to follow the instructions. I work on it step by step with you. Also an additional how to make a pom tutorial is below to finish this hat off nicely.
I have a strong suspicion that this hat will be popular this year. With the texture look and easy to do stitchwork, I think it will be a crowd favourite.

Stitch it Forward
Yarnspirations has released their latest Lookbook called Caron, Stitched with Love. The book of free patterns for both knitters and crocheters has one central theme, charity. It focuses on simple projects and some that require a bit of knowledge of crochet. Personally, I love how the Lookbook allows new crocheters to learn new skills but also for the ones who have some skills to go a step further. Not only is this book charity oriented, but it also a great starting point for crocheters and knitters to do something more than practise with stitches. It will allow them to learn, grow and contribute to their own community with the projects they create.
The project above is from this Lookbook. This article is one specific pattern and I have a tutorial that matches it for those who need an extra helping hand with the instructions and skills needed to complete the project.

I keep redoing the 5th rnd and I always have one Dc left over (Crochet Pebbled Texture Hat for Adults). What am I doing wrong.
Mikey says
Is that from the tutorial you are following. I did pull down the tutorial as people were complaining about an extra stitch left over.

Hi Mikey, I love the way you teach and your tutorials are excellent. Could I make a suggestion. As I have a learning disability. Dsylslex processing information can be a nightmare. When your giving instruction on the pebble stitch for the various sizes. When you get to the crucial round for example. The one before it just state how many stitches you should have in that row before continuning for that age. I hope this makes sense. Thank a million for all your hard work. Ann

understood. I have to work on that to remember that. People want stitches per round in verbal format though many times its on the pattern. I'll see what I can do to improve.

You talk too fast. Slow down please.

I have received your complaint. It's a valid and constant criticism that I cannot seem to fix. I have to keep on trying.

Hi Michael! The video tutorial for the right-handed version is showing "Video is unavailable. This video is private." Could you fix this, please? Many thanks!
