Crochet Spread Your Wings Shawl

Spread your arms out and let this majestic Crochet Spread Your Wings Shawl make you be the centre of attention. Using Caron X Pantone yarn, this is just fabulous.

There is two different panels that are making up this shawl. It's worked like rounds that are not going all the way around but turning to create the fabulous colour structure.

I can’t seem to get my double crochets to line up when i start the 2nd pass. I am double crocheting in the tops of the previous double crochet but the stitches aren’t lining up. is there something i am doing for this to happen? i am following both the pattern and the video. please help!

Is the count right though. Stitches don't sit directly over the top of each other. They are always shifted slightly.

yes the stitches are right. my stitches are slightly shifted when i start my 2nd pass, so it does make sense. thank you for your help. my other question is when doing the left side foundation do i chain in the back bump of the chain like with the right side. thanks again!

Diana, there was do diagram included with the pattern. The one you saw in the tutorial is just my hand notes for teaching it. It wasn't anything official. I'm sorry.
