Crochet Study of Texture Poncho
There was interest in having the Study of Texture original afghan converted to a shawl. So I put my thinking cap on and created a shawl. This ended up morphing into a demand to have the Study of Texture Poncho. Cora Morrison, a fellow crocheter, took up the challenge to create one.
With collaboration, Cora re-wrote the instructions for the Crochet Study of Texture Poncho as a one-piece unit. You could have done two shawls and sewed them together. She wanted a one-piece unit instead.
Cora spent several weeks perfecting the pattern to the best of our ability to match my original intention. She and I worked together to do our best to correct as much as we saw. So if you find an error, it's not for a lack of trying.
Cora used 5 balls of Bernat POP yarn. Using 5 mm / H Hook.

Love the end result! Such a cozy poncho and looks fantastic! I did notice that in Round 41 the second corner says 2hdc, chain 2, 2 hdc. The first corner is 1 hdc. I went with the 1 hdc, chain 2, 1 hdc in order to make Round 42 fit.
This is a gorgeous poncho! Thank you so much for making this pattern available to us.

Just getting started and so excited to crochet this beautiful poncho! Have not crocheted anything like this before, do I turn after each row or continue crocheting onto the next row. If continuing, how (in row 3) do I “dc 1 same corner sp”. Many thanks for your help.

I got it to work on my laptop! Yay! I have got to row 47 and am so stuck. I am still new to reading patterns. I have posted in your Facebook group for help with rows 45 and 46. I think if I post again people will get mad at me. I need some help. I tried to do my own diagram but that didn't work.
