This is a crochet wiggles stitch concept that is the Crochet Swirling Texture Pillow Pattern. The crochet wiggles are added on after the base of the pattern is made first. Essentially, it is a surface overlay. There is Bernat Velvet yarn.

The crochet swirl is beautiful and the yarn is so soft. However, when I chain 85 then Hdc in 4th chain from hook I come out with 82 stitches not 84 like the pattern says. Am I doing something wrong or is the count wrong? Can you help me?
