The yarn thickness is generous, and so is the yardage. You will want to use a larger crochet hook like a 9 mm / M/N/13 crochet hook or 9 mm / US 13 knitting needle.
It is a super-bulky weight, similar in thickness to a Bernat Blanket. It is also polyester, like Bernat Blanket. Polyester is cheaper than acrylic, and the pricing reflects that.
This product is washable and dryable, and be sure to follow the instructions on the label. It is also OEKO-TEX CERTIFIED for testing against harmful substances. Something you will want to know for personal reasons to ensure quality assurance.
I've used this yarn before and quite liked how it felt while crocheting with it. Squishy like a marshmallow. This baby crochet lovey is a great example of it.
