How to Charge Up The Yarn
This yarn needs 10 minutes of blasting light for the phosphorescent pigments to capture and hold onto the light. It will then glow for 30 minutes. The pigment is in the dye, and the product is machine washable and dryable.
Is this yarn gimmicky or a novelty? Absolutely. Life is too short to always use the same yarn. Maybe get your kids to play with the yarn that does something special at night. Most people will fall asleep within 15 to 20 minutes before the glow of this yarn fades into the night.

Will the glow effect ever run out after so many washes or will it last forever?

I don't know the answer on how many washes it will last. The pigment is right in the yarn colour itself. So I don't know if it's even possible to wash it out.
