    What does Red Heart All In One Granny Square yarn look like knitted up? This! You can easily get two hats out of one ball with this pattern.

    Due to the length of each section, each colour has a limited about. The white in the hat is the most extended and outside layer of the yarn and is more dominant. You let the colours change on their own.

    Adult Family Fair Isle Knit Hat

    Red Heart All In One Granny Square yarn. 250g / 8.8 oz, 381 meters / 417 yards

    Colour is Soft White - Frigid. 

    Set of 4 sizes U.S. 7 (4.5 mm) and U.S. 8 (5 mm) double-pointed knitting needles.

    Abbreviations

    • Beg = Beginning
    • Inc = Increase
    • K = Knit
    • K2tog = Knit next 2 stitches together
    • M1 = Make 1 stitch by picking up horizontal loop lying before next stitch and knitting into back of loop
    • P = Purl
    • Rem = Remain(ing)
    • Rep = Repeat
    • Rnd(s) = Round(s)

    Instructions

    Tutorial show you how to cast on and do the first round of knit 1, purl 1. Cast on 90 stitches to being.

    With set of smaller doublepointed needles and MC, cast on 90 sts. Join in rnd. Divide sts onto 3 needles, placing marker on first st. Work 3” in (K1. P1) ribbing.

    Change to larger set of doublepointed needles and knit 3 rnds.

    In the next round, you will be doing a M1 which is called Make 1. This is how it's done.

    Next rnd: *K15. M1. Rep from * around. 96 sts.

    Next 14 rnds: Knit. 

    Top of Hat 

    You will start doing 2 together knit stitches starting in the next section. Here's how that's done.

    1st rnd: *K6, k2tog. Rep from * around. 84 sts. 

    2nd & alternative rnds: Knit.

    3rd rnd: *K5, k2tog. Rep from * around. 72 sts.

    5th rnd: *K4, k2tog. Rep from * around. 60 sts.

    7th rnd: *K3, k2tog. Rep from * around. 48 sts.

    9th rnd: *K2, k2tog. Rep from * around. 36 sts.

    11th rnd: *K1, k2tog. Rep from * around. 24 sts.

    12th rnd: *K2tog. Rep from * around. 12 sts. Break

    yarn leaving a long end. Draw end tightly through rem sts.

    Option: Sew pom pom to the top of the hat.
