Yarnspirations expanded its Bernat Blanket Extra Thick yarn line to now include the technology called 'perfect phasing'. This particular line of yarn has several color options.
This yarn is designed for fast gratification and projects that don't take weeks to make.
Perfect Phasing
The yarn, you can see, is in cake form, and you can see the color transition from start to finish. In the case below, you can see the outside of the ball is the lightest and the interior is the darkest. The balls are arranged this way for each one. So you will not get a yarn ball that is half phasing.
If you really want to take advantage of the phasing, if you use from the inside going out, then on the next ball choose outside going inward. It will create the best phasing results. Keep doing that until your project is done.

This yarn can be used in several ways, including crafting. You can knit with this yarn with your fingers or knitting needles, and do the same with crochet with a hook or your fingers, too. You can decide your activity. Some people use yarn like this to wrap wreaths or cones for added decor options.

How to Secure Loose Ends with This Yarn
The biggest complaint with this type of yarn is securing the loose ends. That's only because it's really not talked about anywhere specifically for tips.
Weaving in the ends with this yarn is a definite disaster waiting to happen, but that's because you need one extra step: you need to secure the end of the yarn to the core of the yarn using a tapestry needle. Let me demonstrate below and remove the mystery.
A Pattern Idea
You can find free patterns on Yarnspirations for this yarn, and we recently used it to make a basket. A tutorial was even created for this Round & Round Crochet Basket. Only one ball is needed, and your basket could be perfect as well.

Yarn Details
This yarn is considered #7 Jumbo, the thickest yarn available on the market. Use a 25 mm / US 50 crochet hook or 25 mm / US 50 knitting needle. The ball weight 21.2 oz / 600 grams.
With 65 yards per ball. In crochet, 5 balls are needed to make a throw measuring about 43" x 52".
For table knitting, 4 balls will yield a 45" x 60" blanket. Remember, knitting takes a lot of yarn per stitch. To make this yarn go farther, finger knitting or knitting with the needles will get you a bigger project with less yarn.
The yarn is machine washable and dryable; see care instructions on the label for more information.
