New as of June 7, 2024, is the Bernat Quickweave kit that stunned me when I saw it months ago at Yarnspirations in Toronto. They tossed it before me, and I was like, "What is that!?". This was supposed to be a few-minute presentation as I was getting a preview for 2024 / 2025, and I barely remember the rest of the meeting. I was floored at the innovation of this.

A lot of innovation went into this new product, which allows a beginner crafter to enjoy weaving with the mesh already completed. With this scrumptiously soft base, no loom is required. A new yarn coming out in the fall of 2024 was teamed up with this kit called Bernat Spark. So, the balls you see will be available in full balls later in 2024.

I brought my friend Karen into the fold by testing this product with me for the first time. OMG, we had so much fun with this product. It's everything I thought it would be when I got a preview months ago.
There Was An Accident
I was accidentally sent the rainbow version, but it won't be available until Fall 2024. Karen's on the camera is available now. So, there is another evolution of colours on the horizon. Stay tuned in the future to more information.
The kit includes instructions for making the scarf long and wide, like Karen and I did, or for doing it back and forth.
The video shows us trying to figure out the product by reading the instructions. We had a super great time working together and helping each other. We were missing the wine and crackers, but I can see this as a fun afternoon with friends project.
The kit takes about four hours to complete from start to finish. Having played with it, the timing is accurate. Once you started on this, we felt addicted to the product to see how it would turn out. We didn't have any difficulties with this product to help you with tips that aren't included. They have thought of it all.
