- Journey Membership is the 'all-in' with advanced access to the YouTube tutorials, communications, and more that are either made just for Journey Membership or scheduled for regular subscribers in the future.
- There are no long-term commitments; it's month-by-month. Cancel anytime. Transactions are strictly confidential between you and YouTube only. We don't have the power to give away free memberships as a trial option.

We established it in 2008, not knowing where social media will take us. Not much has changed in sixteen years of being prepared to offer free patterns and delivering creativity nearly daily. The workload of doing homework and stitching into the late hours of the evening is a regularly scheduled thing.

Our Backstory
While The Crochet Crowd has grown substantially to provide as much free education as possible, the cost of the free creation to keep the patterns for free is a real issue. With options to skip ads, we cannot always rely on monetization to make it work. The working expenses of delivering accessible content are much bigger than you can imagine.
Like you, we need to budget too. Buying yarn at local retailers is a real thing to create and do free designs. I do look for sales to keep my budget in check. I also order directly from Yarnspirations as well.
We love to provide you with tutorials and will continue to do so for many years to come; we ask that if you enjoy being part of The Crochet Crowd, please consider a donation. We spend much time on social media with our team to keep our safe place available. Our team deals with many situations that are kept out of the public eye to keep our space inspirational.
As with any production service, ad revenue and sponsorship only cover a portion of the yearly cost to stay afloat. Take, for example, PBS or even your local theatre; individual donations are an essential part of ANY group to continue providing a FREE service. Even for theatres, ticket sales cover only 20% to 30% of the operational cost of any production. The remaining is asking for support for those who enjoy good quality content.

Social media has brought a day and age of free expectations onto content like ours. However, those behind the scenes, such as The Crochet Crowd, must cover the real expenses to keep a free educational-based platform online.
Though we are sponsored, like any other organization, it also depends on donations from individuals like you. This way, we can continue to provide you with amazing tutorials and be available to all for free.
I want to continue providing the excellent videos and pattern support offered. Most YouTube video hosts are struggling for the same reasons. It's an actual situation. We will never produce viral videos to generate millions of views monthly and substantial revenue. As a crafter, we serve a small niche audience, and that's you.

Tutorial creation can take 10 - 90 hours in production time from start to finish. We receive suggestions and look to what is being requested by many to help influence tutorial decisions.
