Crochet Lacy Shawl
Absolutely gorgeous is the new Crochet Lacy Shawl from Yarnspirations. It just screams WOW from the minute you see the photo to the time you are crocheting your way through it.
The pattern has the rows 1 - 12 on the diagram and once you really understand how this is being made, you can understand how to grow it. There are only 36 rows. So the first 1-12, essentially ⅓ is in diagram format with you.

The tutorial below slowly takes you through 1 - 12 and I have done my best to break up the steps so you can see how things connect together, meaning, how the pattern is strategic in growth.
Use the tutorial below to get started. I would recommend a bit of knowledge of pattern reading or diagram understanding will take this from merely a picture to a finished project in your hands. I do try my best to break it all up for your easier understanding.

I love to watch your videos and I have learned a lot from you. Having said that, I am left questioning of you actually (using the pattern as written) completed this shawl. Starting in row 11, the errors start throwing off the count. Watching your tutorial and the diagram helped me figure out that row and complete twelve. I have seen comments on how to correct rows 23 on. However, I haven't been able to get past 13. I am mystified as to how, following the instructions exactly, I still have two extra stitches coming into the chain 2. Hopefully, I will figure it out. It is a beautiful shawl, but leaves me Leary of using any other patterns from this company.

Hi Mikey
I have been struggling with this beautiful pattern for some time now. I've frogged to the beginning of Row 23 several times, determined not to give up. Upon checking with some other crocheters on YouTube, there is a suggestion - oops, a flat out statement - that in odd Rows 23 to 31, the [ ] repeat is 5 times, not 4. So far, that seems to work out and lines up with the picture of the shawl laid out flat. In addition, I'm told the [ ] repeat in Row 33 is 7 times. Again, that seems to be in line with the flat view pictured. Needless to say, I have run out of yarn following that rationale and now see that Yarnspirations has changed the number of balls required from 3 to 4. My source in this small town is limited to Walmart and my colour selection is no longer available. They have also removed the last line that says to "sew foundation ch together". Stuff happens - for sure and I'd hate to see your good reputation sullied over an error that was not yours. Whew - a bit long winded! Sorry. Comments and guidance, please and thanks.
