There will not be a specific tutorial make for this shawl as many of the stitches already exist in previous tutorials. I will provide those below.

Which size caron cotton cakes do we need the 100g/3.5oz cakes or the 250g/8.8oz cakes?

It's the 100 g size. I designed this prior to the big ones being on the market.

Okay thought so but wanted to double check. Also is the gauge the same as the blanket even though the hook size is a 4mm for the shawl and 5.5mm for the afghan.

I am confused on Goal 1 row 2. why is there a * and **
the row reads * 1trfp around next dc, 1 trip around dc. 1 trip around next dc **
(2dc,ch2.2dc)in next ch2 st. repeat from *-**
does this mean that i do the trfp and repeat or do I add the 2dc with the trfp,
