If I had a sheet of checkboxes, I would give this an A+++ and run out of ink from my marker! Bernat Cottage, for me, is a home run hit.
Why? Look at it... touch it... Hook it! Tell it that you love it and want to hook it some more!

In This Project
The Proverbial Check List
The new Bernat Cottage yarn is a chunky #5 weight yarn. What does that mean? Quick-growing projects! Fast journeys.
Look at those colors in just one ball; it keeps my ADHD under control while watching for the next color to transition into my project. Boredom isn't going to happen!
You can use it for home decor or wear it. You get to decide what the strand can transition to.
I will stare at the yarn ball for hours at a time, watching the joy come from the ball and into my hands! It's so cottage-core that I can barely stand how excited I am about it.
The Yarn Itself
- The yarn is a marled twist, giving it an addictive, fun color palette.
- It's 100% Acrylic, meaning it's affordable to many.
- It has nearly the same gauge as Bernat Blanket of 9 sc and 10 rows. The ball looks small in the pictures but look at the ball with the model to get the perspective of sizing. Lot's of goodness and yardage.
- The ball is 200 grams / 7 oz. 214 metres / 234 yards. Slightly more yardage than Bernat Blanket yarn.
- Yes, it's machine washable, but review the care instructions.
I Can See Something From Our Past
Can you see the Crochet Hibernation Blanket being used with this yarn? I can.

I would even mix up the coloring, like the Hibernation Blanket, between the color options to really punch this into the cottage-core area of life.
Where to get it? Yarnspirations, of course.
