The Crochet Ultra Plush Sparkle Dragon Toy is a new design by Yarnspirations using Bernat Blanket yarn. It's much bigger than you think.
The original is darker blue and I found Bernat Baby Blanket Sparkle in my collection of yarn. I used Seafoam Sparkle for the main body with Rose Gold for the belly, ears and back plates and then Sunshine for the horns and wings.
When you crochet this, you are crocheting from the top to the bottom.
I didn't have 1" safety eyes on hand. So I did 2 rounds of white and applied 15 mm safety eyes into my version. I added a mouth for an expression as well.
The 4 spikes are sewn on to the back side. I think there may be 2 on the main body and 2 on the tail but I am not 100% certain. So Iapplied 3 on the back of the body and 1 on the tail. I think it could use a few more but that's a creative choice.
This dragon doesn't take long to crochet and is pretty generous in size. It's just a bit bigger than Ollie the Crochet Owl. You cannot use the O'Go Format for just getting 1 colour for the body. It takes nearly a full ball of the main colour.

A tutorial would be awesome. I couldn't wait so I did make one but struggled with some parts especially the wings...how much of the wing to attach and placement. I absolutely love your teaching style!

Yes, please. Mikey can you do a tutorial crocheting a cow please??

Thank you for the suggestion. Yarnspirations doesn't have a cow that can be filmed and I haven't designed one yet.
