When WIPs take over your Life
WIP by definition to a crocheter means Work in Progress.
So in the past 24 hours, I found myself actually starting 3 new projects! That does not account for the 2 projects currently already WIP’d next to my space on the couch. Nor does it account for the WIP that is in the kitchen, nor the one in my bedroom. And let’s not even talk about the endless undone projects currently in my yarn room. If I had a knickel for each one of my WIPS, I could buy another yarn ball!
So am I crazy? Do I have ADD? Is there a 12 step program I should join?
What I have come to realize is that it’s okay for me to have all these WIP’s. It definitely keeps me from ever getting bored with one particular project. My projects all vary in size from small to large, tiny hooks to giant hooks, size 1 yarn to big blanket. Whether my mind is clear to work on a project that requires a lot of concentration or if I want something completely mindless, there is always something close at hand.
And honestly, since I have allowed myself the pleasure of having so many WIPs, I definitely complete way more projects than ever!
So for today, let’s play WIP it Wednesday and show me your WIP!
