The United States is the hub of yarn storage for Yarnspirations. In January 2024, the yarn for online sales originated in Albany, Georgia. Here, the oddball cases can accidentally be found and indexed easily for online yarn clearance at this location. Balls you think are gone may just pop up into the clearance section.
You guys in the USA are a bunch of Lucky Ducks for having this opportunity! When yarn goes on sale sitewide at Yarnspirations, many of the already discounted yarn get included in additional savings!

Yarn that goes on clearance is usually yarn, where a colour has been discontinued and/or the entire brand, is going out for good. You will sometimes even find Caron Cakes products there on clearance as they are exclusive to Michaels and are not sold on Yarnspirations while Michaels has them on the shelf.
Canada does have a clearance section, but it is not as vast as the USA location. However, the cost savings are lost if they ship it to Canada just to put it on clearance. It has to be in Canada first and then go on clearance afterwards.

I love that you are so open with sharing! I am in the USA and had no idea that Yarnspirations even existed!
I am retired and can crochet whenever I want. But we all know you can only have so many Afghans but you talked about the palliative care blankets and now I have new inspiration.
I have taught my four grandchildren to crochet. 8, 10, 12, 14. Even though they know how only one does. The 10 year old grandson and he is good! After I told him about you and showed him some of you workshop’s ( igloo) he was crazy about this being his adult job! He wants his own shop to sell yarn and teach.
So thank you and continue what you do!
