Crochet Baby Poncho
Crochet a Baby / Toddler Size Poncho using Bernat Blanket Tiny yarn. This simple design is for beginners or experienced crocheters looking into putting in some easy crochet time.
This is a one-piece unit made as an L shape and folded strategically to form the poncho.
The tutorial provided shows you the shaping and the stitchwork. The stitch combo used is called the Crinkle Stitch.

Hi Mikey, I made this sweet poncho and I can’t figure out how you fold it….I folded as you did and it was lopsided so I took it apart and folded it the other way and it doesn’t match up….help!!!! Im so confused. I love your patterns but this one has me lost!!! Thx!! Peg
I’m not sure how to tackle this problem. The original one I had has since been donated to charity. I have to think about how to explain it in a different way.

I want to make the L shaped crinkle stitch Baby/toddler blanket poncho for a 7 year old. Can you tell me number of stitches needed, please? Crochet hook size? Number of balls?
Beginning again. Thank you Mikey!
Hey I’m 14. I started crocheting when I was 8 I think. My mom told me about u and now I know more then any of my family including my grandma. I teach her. I think your stuff is amazing and so help full thanks. Now I love crochet mire then ever.
Is there a way to convert this pattern into a womens size medium. Thank you
There probably is… However, knowing yarnspirations, they probably have already one designed in the free patterns for the shawls for women too.
Thank you anyway.
I decided to watch the right handed video and because I know the stitches you are doing I think I can figure it out.
I am really enjoying your tutorials. The simple Bernat baby blanket was very good to follow and I made the blanket within a week! I wasn’t crocheting all day everyday either.
You have great tips in your learn to crochet workshop too.
It really is becoming a favourite hobby of mine and so relaxing too.
Hi from Australia,
I am relatively new to Crocheting but your tutorials have been amazingly helpful. I recently completed the simple barnet baby blanket project – it’s turned out so well. Thank you.
Does this poncho also have a left-handed video tutorial?
This only has the right handed tutorial. I’m sorry.
