This quick and easy crochet afghan is deceptively easy. Don't tell your friends how easy it is though. It will allow you to have your cake and eat it too!
The middle of the afghan has deep ridges and reminds me of a sand bar in the Great Lakes. Using Bernat Chunky Yarn and a Size N or 10 mm crochet hook, this will go quickly and you should be able to finish it in no time.
Don't be like me and get this yarn line confused with Bernat Softee Chunky Yarn. It's not the same yarn as the Bernat Chunky is provided in large balls. I have provided the yarn details in the Yarn Details button above.

I love this pattern!! So easy and beautiful texture! <3!!
But for the edging I was wondering if there was a typo in the 1st rnd. It says to work 73 sc evenly across the top edge and the 2 side edges. But it says to work 53 sc across he bottom edge. Is that 53 supposed to be 73 so the afghan is square?

Great tutorial! FYI at the end of the second row Mikey did 2 SC instead of slip stitch.
I have learned so much from all of Mikey's tutorials. You've empowered me to follow a dream of learning how to crochet. I will be eternally grateful to you and the whole Crochet Crowd crew.
Much love!
